Now we can go to school!

Three girls can now attend school

Three girls are very excited because of your donation, Scott, Eran, Rowland and Mohammad. Mr. Prit provides for his family by selling vegetables in the market which he transports there on his bicycle. Now that the family has a well, the daughters will no longer have to spend all day hauling water a full half mile from the water hole to the field for irrigation.

Now they will have time to attend school. The well is near their garden so they can irrigate before and after their classes. The oldest daughter, Om, has long dreamed of joining her playmates when they attend class and now she can. Thanks to each of you for making a huge difference both now and in the future for this family!

Living healthier more productive lives through clean water

Adding a filter makes a family’s water clean and safe.

Chhoeun Chheat and his family wish to thank you, Scott, for donating a water filter for them. Even though they were fortunate enough to have water from a pump well, they still got sick because the water was not clean. Now they have a water filter and the training to have clean drinking water so the children can go to school on a regular basis and Chhoeun can work in his rice fields. The new white container to store the water also keeps it clean and safe once it’s filtered. Thank you for helping this family live healthier more productive lives.

Changing Lives for the Better

Villagers learn to use Om’s new filter

Kabir, your donation has made a huge difference for a family in Bekkam Phlerg in Chan Sa Commune, Soutr Nikom District, Cambodia.  Om Kou and his family of 5 draw their water from an open pond.  Every four to five days one of the family members used to come down with diarrhea caused from the poor drinking water.

Now they can trust their water because it will be filtered and they can productively work in their rice fields.  And, they can share with the other villagers who drink from the same source.  Thank you, Kabir, for making such a big difference in these village people’s lives.
