Kob and his Family Now Have Access to Clean Water

Kob’s family has 8 members, 4 males and 4 females.  They live in a wood house and have two bicycles and one oxcart to get around and farm.  Kob and his family do not own any livestock. They have 1 hectare of rice field whereby they can grow and store 2,100 kg of rice for the season.

Kob and his family are extremely grateful for your purchase of a water filter for their family.  They had unclean water before and Kob is very thankful now to know the water is safe and healthy for the entire family.

Chhing and his Family are Happy and Content!

Chhing’s family consists of 5 members, 3 males and 2 females.  Chhing has no form of transportation and his family lacks any livestock.  They own 1 hectare of a rice field where the family works together to grow and store only 200 kg of rice for the season.

Your help of a water filter is extremely helpful to Chhing and his family.  They have already said that they are very happy and content to know that their water will now be safe to drink.

Mao Sokly’s family is now secure

Thank you, Bellevue Rotary, for your gift of a full drinking well to Mao Sokly and his family.

Mao Sokly helps support the 5 females and 8 males in his family by farming their rice field. They live in a house made of wooden floors and palm-leaf walls. They share one bicycle as their only form of transportation. They are able to store 900 kgs of rice for the season to feed the entire family. To augment their food securities, they also have 5 chickens.

This well will provide Mao ‘s family with year-round water supply whereby they can grow more vegetables to increase their food securities and improve their health.

Clean water, it’s so simple!

Thank you so much Thomas for your gift of a bio-sand water filter. Your filter was provided to Peul Pot and his family. Pot lives in the Kbal Kropeu village within the Siem Reap Province of Cambodia.

Pot, his wife, and daughter live in a wood house and they have no form of transportation. Pot makes a living by farming rice at his rice farm with one water buffalo. He manages to grow 750 kilograms of rice for the season to feed his family and make a small income.

Orphans have more hope

Mr. Meas is a director of the Heart and Love Organization, an orphanage center that supports the poor and orphaned children located in Chong Kausou Village, Siem Reap Province in Cambodia.  Mr. Meas cares for 35 orphans, 20 of which are male and 15 are female.  He is very excited to have a bio-sand water filter for these children.  Now they will not suffer the ill effects of bad drinking water: diarrhea, parasites, viruses, or worse.  With improved health these 35 children will be able to study with more focus, play with more energy and experience the benefits of potable water for years to come. Three families now have clean water

Thank you for giving Lim and his 3 family units totaling 14 men, women and children the gift of clean drinking water. Lim and his other family members live in homes made with palm leaf walls. They share 1 motorbike, 2 bicycles and 1 oxcart for transportation. With the families’ 2 cows they grow rice, and can store away 2,500 kgs to last all season. Now that they have a bio-sand water filter these parents and children will experience the benefit of clean water. The children will be healthier and won’t miss as much school. The parents will be better able to cultivate their rice farm. Thank you, Bellevue Rotary, for giving them all more hope for a better life.

Krouch Chhorm’s family consists of 11 females and 4 males. They live in a wood house and have 1 bicycle as their only form of transportation. They do not own any livestock, which adds to their food insecurities. Their survival depends largely upon the six-monthly harvests which they use for their needs and sell.

Your donations enabled Trailblazer to donate a drinking well to Krouch Chhorm’s family. They can now grow more vegetables and thereby increase their food security.
