Run Cha lives with his family in a village called Pongro in Bakong District, Cambodia. They are a family of 13 members that includes his wife, eight daughters and three sons.
They live in a house built from wood and brick and grow rice to support the needs of the family. In addition, they also have four chickens and two cows. They draw water from a nearby pit well which needs to be boiled and cooled before drinking.
Despite these precautions, a member of the family falls ill every two weeks causing much strain on the family income.
Your gift of a water filter comes as a boon to Run Cha and his family as they can now filter up to 80 liters of clean and safe drinking water each day.
Thank you, Brian, for your support!
