Gift of a water filter!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Dear Mathieu,

Hor Sophal lives with her husband and nine children – four sons and five daughters, in the village of Vihea Chin in Siem reap District, rural Western Cambodia.

The family lives in a house built from wood and brick. The family also owns four bikes, two motors and one car which they use to get to town and for their other needs. She works as a health worker to support the needs of her large family.

Before receiving the filter from Trailblazer, Hor Sophal’s family traveled long distances to gather water for the family. This water was not clean for consumption and had to be boiled and cooled before drinking.

Despite these precautionary methods, one member of the family fell ill every two weeks.

With your generous gift of a water filter, Mathieu, Hor Sophal’s family can now filter up to 80 liters of clean and safe drinking water, each day. In this photo, Hor Sophal is seen standing next to the filter, gifted by you.

Thanks to that, they now have access to clean water and Hor Sophal is very happy that her children will now be safe from waterborne illness.

Thank you, Mathieu, for your gift of a water filter for this family!
