Happy to receive a water filter!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Dear Debra,

Heav Thuu lives with his wife and three children in the village of Bekkam Phlerng in Soutr Nikom, rural Western Cambodia.

The family lives in a house built from wood and bricks and Haev Thuu grows rice and vegetables to support his family. In addition, they also own 10 chickens which provide them an additional source of income.

Before receiving the water filter from Trailblazer, Heav Thuu’s family traveled long distances to draw water from a well which was at most times, unsafe for consumption. They always boiled and cooled the water before drinking but despite these precautionary measures, a child in the family fell sick every two weeks.

With your generous donation, they have been provided a water filter with which they can filter up to 80 liters of clean and safe drinking water each day.

The family is thrilled to have access to clean water in their house and is very grateful to you for this wonderful gift. In this photo, Heav Thuu’s wife is seen with her two children standing next to their new water filter, gifted by you, Debra.

Thank you so much Debra for this kind gesture, Heav Thuu’s children will now be protected from deadly waterborne disease!
