Troeuk Troeun lives with his wife and four children in the village of Wat Sway in Siam Reap, rural Western Cambodia.
The family lives in a house built from wood. Troeuk Troeun sells pillows to earn a living. The family owns two bikes and one motor which they use to get to town for their needs.
Troeuk Troeun’s family traveled long distances to gather water for their needs. They collected water from a nearby well which was not very clean and safe for consumption. It had to be boiled and cooled before consuming.
Despite taking these precautionary measures, one member of his family fell sick every two weeks causing much strain on the family income.
After receiving this gift of a water filter from Trailblazer, Troeuk Troeun’s family can now filter up to 80 liters of clean water each day.
Thanks to your generous gift, Laurent, Troeuk Troeun and his family can save much time from traveling to collect water. They are very happy to have access to clean water, thereby keeping the children safe from waterborne illness. In this photo, the children are seen standing next to the filter, gifted by you.
Thank you so much, Laurent for this thoughtful gift of a water filter.
