Cheam Loeuk’s family cherishes clean water
posted January 11, 2012
Thank you for your gift of a full drinking well to Cheam Loeuk’s family.
Cheam Loeuk lives in the village of Parsat in Cambodia, in a house made of wood. He helps support the 2 females and 1 male in his family by farming their field. They share one bicycle as their only form of transportation. To augment their food securities, they also have 2 chickens.
Your donations, Thomas, Meghan, Hazel, Cristen, Judi, Stephanie, and Christine, enabled Trailblazers to construct a drinking well which will provide Cheam’s family with invaluable, year-round water supply whereby they can grow more vegetables to increase their food securities and improve their health.
The construction of the well was delayed by several weeks because the recent floods in Cambodia made it impossible for Trailblazer workers to travel to far off villages, and it was for this reason that all impact stories were delayed. However, in the aftermath of the devastating floods, the work done by Trailblazers in bringing clean water to the villagers in Cambodia assumes even more significance than it had before.
Thank you for bringing the family water and hope for a better life.
