How to put a smile on a child’s face
posted January 29, 2013
Thank you for your contributions to the Trailblazer Foundation, which provides water access to poor rural villagers in Cambodia. Through your generosity, you have given the gift of a well and access to water, a basic need. Your well was provided to Chuch Koy and his family of 14.
Koy and his large family live in Bostatrav village in a house made with palm leaf walls. With their oxcart and two cows, they work their rice field and can grow and store away only 400 kilograms of rice for the season. To augment their food securities, they have three chickens to produce a supply of eggs. Now that they have a well they have a year-round source of water, enough to irrigate a garden and grow more food for their children. These kids will also be safe from falling into dangerous pit wells, the traditional source of water. With more food they will have more nutrition and be able to grow up strong and healthy. Thank you Kevin, Prasad, Deborah, W, Partha, Jenkin, Steven, and Manda for putting a smile on their faces by giving them the gift of water.
